The History

A profession handed down through four generations, the activity initiated in the distant 1920's when the Hotel Quisisana of Capri enlisted sailors from Marina Grande (including a number of our ancestors) to accompany its most illustrious guests on excursions by rowing and sailing boats to explore the numerous caves surrounding the island.
This activity changed quite dramatically with the introduction of the Aprea ship builders of Sorrento's superb wooden motor boats, at the end of the 1960's.
Times change and so too the requirements made by the tourism industry on the island. In 1995, the “small businesses of Capri sea”, renowned for the quality of their transfers and boats rental services, decided to unite and form Capri Relax in collaboration with the best of the island's hotels.
In the spring of 2004 the company made significant investments in its operative organization; expanding its range of services, improving its fleet and opened offices and a call center in via Cristoforo Colombo 34 in Marina Grande right at the heart of the Port - the ideal place where to welcome guests and illustrate the services on offer.
Times may have changed, but the genuine cordiality, courtesy and reliability which have always characterised our company have remained the same. Our aim is to help make our clients' holiday even more enjoyable and, with our boat excursions, to offer our passengers those emotions which only the sea of Capri can provide.
